My next door neighbor, Michael, unearthed these early milk bottles and cases in an attic at work and thought I might like them. (The cases read Ferndale Dairy, Kensington, Conn, as do some of the bottles. I love the now antiquated abbreviation for Connecticut, don't you? Does anyone remember this dairy?)
After relocating at least a dozen or more spiders and then dusting the bottles and scrubbing them out and treating them to a thorough washing they soon began to gleam as they once must have in years past.
Now, a single sunflower in each makes a most charming display.
